The Fairbanks Community Band is a wind and percussion ensemble for adult musicians. We perform as a full concert band and as a jazz band, both for public concerts and private engagements. Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for adults to continue making music beyond the high school and college years, and to pass our enjoyment of live music on to the community in which we perform. All times given are the time performance begins. Please allow time to park, set up for the event, tune, and generally be available for the downbeat before the start time. Unless otherwise stated, band members should be available for setup, sound check, and tuning 30 minutes before the stated time.

Concert Band members: Event date is Sunday, Aug 08, 4:30 pm

We have 41 pieces of music out for the summer and your librarian would like to get them all sorted and put away before the first fall practice. Could you PLEASE be responsible to get your music turned in at the fair performance? If you are not playing in the fair, please get it to the band practice on Thur. or drop it off at my house at 4910 Palo Verde Ave. just down from Woodriver School. We have a covered entry way so you can drop it off anytime.

If you are returning in the fall, please keep your folder but turn in ALL the music. I am still hoping to find missing pieces from our last spring concert.

Remember.....you will have a happy librarian if she doesn't have to call and bug folks about turning in their music. Thanks. Patti
